Employer branding can be defined as the image of the firm as a recruiter or the reputation of our organization as a ‘great place to work’ in the minds of employees. So it is mainly concerned with the recruitment, training, learning, development, appraisal and retention initiatives of the organization.
There is a big difference between branding of product and employer. The latter one is the opinion about the firm that candidates have built and what it might be like to work for the firm.  Product branding on the other hand is the brand reliability in the minds of the customer about the product line being offered by the firm. Brand Marketing is done to earn revenue and growth through the product line offered whereas employer branding is done to build good image of the firm as an employer.
